Making Use of Connect To Me AI Question Generator

General Usage

While many other relationship and communication apps use a question bank for giving conversation starters for couples, Connect To Me has a powerful AI question generator, which can help personalize your conversation!

Connect To Me's AI question generator relies on "known facts" so to speak. Essentially, in order to get a better idea of what kinds of questions to generate, it needs to know what you and your spouse (or girlfriend/boyfriend, or potential partner) already know about each other. It doesn't have to be anything too complex. It could even be as simple as something like what jobs you have, fun stories, or anything else you know about each other.

We will give a few examples shortly of what these "known facts" look like. But first, lets learn how to set it up!

First, open up the Connect To Me app, and click on the icon right next to the profile icon as shown below. This will take you into the "Question Generator" area.

You will see a textarea at the bottom of the screen. This is where you will type in your "known facts." We will walk through what the other buttons in this same section mean shortly.

We will type in the following known facts below as our example.

The example above is very basic. In the reality, especially if you have known your partner for a long time, you may have more you want to write. The above example is just trimmed down for simplicity.

Hopefully you get the idea. Just put anything both of you know about each other. This tells the AI question generator what kinds of questions/conversations it should try to make. In other words, it will use the context you provide to create a personzalized question.

By the way, it is totally fine if you leave the textarea blank. If this is someone you just met, or you perhaps know very little about them, leaving an empty input will serve as a random question generator.

Here are a few more examples below of what kind of data you can input.

• I have been in a relationship with my boyfriend for about 2 years so far. We both have a lot in common. For instance we both love playing the violin. We both also want a long term serious relationship.
• I recently met Jessica through mutual friends. We have only been on one date so far. From there we learned about each other's travel adventures. Her favorite place she traveled to was Greece, and mine was my trip to Spain.

Notice how the examples are formatted. They don't go in depth with what happened in certain conversations. For instance, it is not important for the AI question generator to know what exactly was said in the first date (second bullet point), but it is being told that a topic about travel was spoken on the first date. Basically, just general known facts should be given, you don't have to write a huge essay on everything you know or have done with each other.

PRO Tip: it helps the AI question generator if you specify the status of your relationship in the known facts. This helps it set the tone for how questions should be generated. For instance, if you note down how you have been married to your spouse for some time or have been on at least 4 dates with someone in the past (but the relationship is not yet official), it may try to generate more deeper questions, or format the question generated for a specific date.

Once you wrote up your known facts, the next part should be easy. Click on "Generate Question" and wait until the question gets generated!

Difference Between Online and Offline Mode

You might notice how there are two different modes for question generation, an "online" and "offline" mode. Both of them use powerful machine learning. One of them just requires internet connection to work (this is the one that is more creative, and does not make use of a question bank). The "offline" version is ideal when you don't have internet connection.

Using the Timer

You might notice how there is a timer UI close to the top of the screen. For more information on this, refer to the setting goals documentation.

Other Features

If there is one question/conversation starter you really liked, you can always add it to your "Favorites" list (you can always remove it from there later).

Due to the nature of AI, output generated can be unpredictable. While we do our best to make sure the output (or question/icebreaker generated) is lighthearted and friendly, there is still a chance that it can generate something the opposite of that. If what the AI question generator makes offends you in anyway, or is just inappropriate, do click on the "Report Question" button!
